Your First Burn
On your first burn make sure that the top surface of the wax melts all the way to the edge of the candle jar before putting out the flame - This may take 1-2 hrs after lighting. Allowing a full melt pool of wax will keep your candle from tunnelling or leaving wax on the sides of the jar.
Keep Your Wooden Wick Short
Keep your wooden wick short, if your wick is too long it cannot absorb the wax and may not burn properly. It is recommended to cut your wick to 3mm using professional candle wick cutters. Remember to snap off the charred bits and trim your wick again if needed after each burn.
Keep A Clean Burn
The wooden wicks are designed to give a nice clean burn and should not produce any smoke. If you do notice smoke from your candle it means the wick has not been trimmed short enough or there is a draft interfering with the natural burn.
